Until I found the solution to my snoring, it caused a lot of problems between my spouse and I..
My wife found it hard to sleep at night – because of my snoring it sounded like an air show in our bedroom; planes might as well have been taking off right next to her head!
She would wake up and elbow me in frustration, leaving each of us destined to sleep only half the night. Since we both worked the same shift, there was no way for us to sleep at different times, and we were both exhausted…
I had to figure out how to stop my snoring! At this point, both of us were too tired to even look up divorce lawyers!
First, I searched online to study anything I could find about snoring…
Snoring is defined by Merriam Webster as “[breathing] during sleep with a rough hoarse noise due to vibration of the soft palate.”
Snoring is defined by my wife as “why she empathizes with women who kill their husbands.” I decided to dig deeper…
Okay, so I found out what it is, but what causes it? When I researched further I found that there are actually a number of causes of snoring. These causes are:
● Being overweight – Extra weight around your throat and neck puts more pressure on your airway.
● Sleeping position – People who sleep on their backs usually snore because the palate hangs down and their airway is obstructed. I tried sleeping on my side, which was a nice change to getting elbowed in my stomach – I was elbowed in my ribs, instead.
● Men – Men have smaller air passages and are more likely to snore. It is unknown if this is why cold and flu season has such a huge effect on men as well.
● Age – Snoring gets worse with age, usually because we put on weight and lose muscle tone. My wife has told me she loves me anyway.
● Sinus issues – Any type of sinus blockage can cause snoring, with a deviated septum being the most common sinus blockage that results in snoring.
● Alcohol – If you drink alcohol before you go to sleep, it can relax muscles in the throat which can lead to snoring.
● Heredity – There is a genetic predisposition to snoring, so it could run in your family.
I wanted to understand what snoring actually was, and what caused it before I began to look at solutions. I thought about getting a sleep study done or going directly to a doctor to take some kind of action.
One night, after being elbowed awake, I was watching a commercial for Zquiet , an anti-snoring mouthpiece. It claimed to stop snoring and had a money back guarantee, so I figured what do I have to lose (other than my life, if my wife couldn’t get some much needed sleep).
I ordered the mouthpiece and guess what? It worked! Simple as that – really! Check out my video below where I perform a live test as I sleep to see the results for yourself.
The mouthpiece advances your lower jaw forward and keeps your tongue depressed so that your airway isn’t blocked during sleep…
It was a little uncomfortable for a day or so, but it was really easy to get used to after a couple days – especially considering it completely stopped my snoring. Just try Zquiet free for 30 days and you will see what I’m talking about.
I stopped waking up to an elbow in my ribs, and my wife stopped waking up to the sound of power tools in her ear caused by my excessive snoring…
We also avoided taking the dreaded step of having separate bedrooms, which is often a sure sign of a dead marriage. Instead, our marriage was happier because we got more and better sleep.
Who would have thought that a tiny anti-snoring device that fits in my sock drawer would be what saved my marriage.
My wife always told me it would be therapy, but the Zquiet has helped our marriage more than our $150 an hour counselor ever has (sorry, Shannon, you did help me understand why a vacuum cleaner is a horrible Christmas present). The difference in both of our attitudes is noticeable since we’re getting the rest we hadn’t had, literally – in years…
Proper sleep results in more energy, less fatigue, and a better mood. We fought less, ended up losing weight without changes to our diet or physical activity, and even started going out to breakfast on Sundays! I want to share my experience with others, because snoring is an embarrassing problem, and it has a much deeper impact on relationships than many people realize…
It is only until after you are able to start sleeping properly again that you understand what a difference it makes…
Since this worked so well for me I am going to make it easy for you as well. I have recorded videos of myself snoring with no mouthpiece and videos of my self not snoring with the mouthpiece in. Check them out here, and see if you think your marriage would benefit from from the ZQuiet anti-snoring device.
